Study Programme for Specialist Nursing in Prehospital Nursing (60 ECTS credits)

A specialist nurse has extensive nursing and medical knowledge in a specific health care area. The prehospital emergency care nurse is expected to make adequate judgements, priorities and follow-ups in order to save lives and prevent complications in prehospital situations at home, on the site of an accident and in the ambulance. Practical group exercises with patient simulator at the university"s modern clinical training centre and in the ambulance services will be carried out.

Education level: Master’s level
Prerequisites: Admission requirements:- A Nursing licence issued by the Social Welfare Agency- Bachelor"s degree in health care or nursing, 180 ECTS cr including a degree project, 15 ECTS cr equivalent qualifications- professional experience in nursing corresponding to at least 24 months full-time, and- upper secondary level Swedish B/Swedish as a second language B and English A.
