Chinese - Listening and Speaking II (7.5 ECTS credits)
Within the Confucius Institute at Karlstad University, teachers from Southwest Jiaotong University, Chengdu, China, offer courses in Chinese language and culture at Karlstad University. The courses are taught in English and are open for all applicants who meet the general admission requirements for university studies and have Upper Secondary English course B or equivalent. The courses are offered at a 25 % pace (expected total workload 10 hours a week) and - if the number of applicants allows for it - both daytime and as night courses.
Chinese - Listening and Speaking II builds on the knowledge gained in the course Chinese - Listening and Speaking I. During the course students will develop their abilities in Chinese listening and speaking through the teacher's instruction and various classroom activities. The students will also practice their oral performance of the more complex Chinese sentence patterns and of Chinese vocabulary to develop longer conversations in depth in different situations.
