Education
Our education is conducted under the department of risk management.
CCS teaches in courses and programs both at undergraduate level and master´s level. Common keywords for most of our courses are climate, vulnerability analysis, risk management and floods.
EDUCATION
Some of the courses focuses on water management and extreme weather. Many of the students in these courses are working whith flood risk management and a course at our centre is a way both to get more knowledge and to meet collegues.
Another type of course we provide are more general and focuse on climate change and its consequences. Those courses can fit both students with different approaches in their studies, and persons who want to read in their spare time to broaden their knowledge.
We also provide courses at master´s level. These are part of the Master programme Societal Risk Management (SARIS). You can take one or two of the courses or the entire program in two years - the choice is yours!
Master programme in Societal Risk Management (SARIS)
SARIS is a 1 or 2 year programme with two profiles, personal security and climate-related risks. The training focuses on the management of these threats and risks through prevention and harm reduction measures.
The programme prepares students for professional employment as well as for research. Students learn about the limitations and possibilities of risk management and how legislation and other forms of control impact on them. Students are introduced to practical risk management as it is planned, structured and performed at different levels and in different sectors of society.
