ECTS Label
In 2011 the European Commission granted Karlstad University the ECTS Label for the second time. The ECTS accreditation is a distinct quality label indicating that the university strives to facilitate international student mobility.
ECTS Label
The European Commission's award of the ECTS-label is an important instrument for comparing the content and qualifications higher education in Europe. The purpose is to stimulate a higher degree of international exchange. Karlstad University first received the distinction in 2006 as the first and only university in Sweden, and now in 2011 a new label has been awarded.
Diploma Supplement
All students at Karlstad University are issued a degree certificate in Swedish and English. They also receive a Diploma Supplement, which is a detailed description of their qualifications in English. The European Commission has also awarded Karlstad University the so called DS-label for the quality of this practice.
